June 2008
Dear Customer:
Blizzard Tracker is powered by Indextools. Four years ago, we found a robust web analytics software product that we believed was the best value on the market. We signed an agreement with the software developers in Hungary, a company called Indextools. As an authorized private-label provider of the software, we placed our “Blizzard Tracker” brand on the product, and began offering it to our customers.
Since then, Indextools has continually improved the tracker, offering excellent features for analyzing the performance of a website.
Through our own development efforts, we have created many custom tracking scripts that run on internet reservation systems. For our customers in the hospitality industry, these tools provide valuable data about the sources of online bookings.
Indextools has been acquired by Yahoo! Indextools and its web analytics software have now been acquired by Yahoo!. What does this mean? First of all, it confirms our long-held belief that the Indextools product, a.k.a. Blizzard Tracker, is one of the best web analytics tools available. In the coming months, we expect it to gain well-deserved recognition as a mainstream product. We are pleased that we have already established significant expertise in this tool, while other internet marketing companies will be working to catch up!
As of this writing, Yahoo! has not yet made the software available to the public. For the time being, new accounts are only available through former Indextools Partners, such as Blizzard Internet Marketing.
New Terms of Service
Because the tracker is now owned by Yahoo!, there is a new service agreement. We will place a link to the new agreement on your login page, which is www.blizzardtracker.com/newlogin.html. The agreement is very similar to the one you accept when you use other Yahoo! services, such as Yahoo! Search Marketing.
As you will see in the agreement, Yahoo! does have access to your data. However, according to the agreement, they are only allowed to use it anonymously. Statistics published by Yahoo! will not be identifiable as your data. Their most likely use of any tracker data will be to publish aggregate data from hundreds or thousands of websites in order to identify major industry-wide trends.
Your login information is confidential. As before, we will keep your user name and password confidential, and we will not share your data outside of our company without your permission. In fact, you can create your own user name and password by logging into your tracking account and using the Settings menu. We will still have administrative access to your account.
Take advantage of the benefits! We hope that you will continue to get the benefits from your Blizzard Tracker account by logging in often. Use the reports for gathering valuable insights that can help you to make profitable business decisions. If you have questions or need support, please email support@blizzardtracker.com. For questions specific to billing, please email billing@blizzardinternet.com.
Thank you for your business. We hope that Blizzard Tracker Web Analytics has contributed to your success, and will continue to do so.
Sincerely,
Your friends at Blizzard Internet Marketing
